Ardis was my neighbor in
Kenosha for 30 years. She was a great joy to be around. In her
earlier years, we enjoyed cocktails together and a good smoke!!

Lucille Jones “Auntie”, age 97, of Kenosha, passed away Monday, September
28, 2009 at her residence, surrounded by her loving family.
Born on April 24, 1912, in Chicago, IL, she was the daughter of the late
Paul and Cecil (Rathbone) Woodbury.
On August 16, 1952, she married Kenneth Jones in Kenosha.
Ardis worked at F.W. Woolworth for many years and then as a secretary in
the purchasing department at American Motors for 20 years, retiring in
June of 1958.
Ardis took delight in being a second Mother to her nieces and nephews. In
her spare time, she enjoyed gardening, sewing, cooking, puzzles and the
vacations she took with her husband.
Along with her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by all of her
siblings and their spouses, John (Annabelle) Woodbury, Marion (Charles)
Conrad, Elbert (Julia) Woodbury, Myron (Dorothy) Woodbury and H. Wayne
(Marilyn) Woodbury and her niece-in-law, Rita Woodbury.
The family would like to thank Hospice Alliance, especially Pat, Helen and
Zelma and a very special thank you to her dear friend and caregiver Doya
Gotov.
